Itinerary NEP-03 : 7 Nights / 8 Days

Kathmandu, Pokhara & Chitwan

This is probably the best combination for an introduction to the kingdom. A sampling of the historical culture in Kathmandu, scenic delight in Pokhara, and in Chitwan, an excursion to the wilder side of the country; the abode of rhinos and tigers.

Day 1-- Arrive Kathmandu. Meet at the airport and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 02--Morning, sightseeing of Kathmandu City & Swayambhunath. Afternoon, sightseeing of Patan City & Handicraft Center.

Day 03--After breakfast, proceed to Pokhara. Arrive Pokhara & check in at hotel. Afternoon, sightseeing of the Pokhara Valley.

Day 04-- After breakfast, proceed to Chitwan via surface. Arrive Chitwan, and transfer to wildlife camp/resort. Afternoon, wildlife activities. Dinner & overnight at wildlife camp/resort.

Day 05-- Full day jungle activities. Breakfast, lunch, dinner & overnight at camp/resort.

Day 06-- After breakfast, return to Kathmandu.

Arrive & check into hotel.

Day 07-- Sightseeing of Bhaktapur, Pashupatinath & Boudhanath. Free afternoon.

Day 08-- Transfer to airport for onward connection

2 NIGHT/3 DAY CHITWAN WILDLIFE SAFARI PROGRAM

Day 1--       Lunch is served after arrival and check in.

3:00 p.m.  Elephant Briefing-- at the elephant stables.

4:30 p.m.  Elephant Safari-- To the jungles to view larger game.

6:30 p.m.  Slide Show-- History of Chitwan and wildlife pictures.

7:00 p.m.  Dinner.

8:00 p.m.  Cultural Program-- Tharu native dances.

Day 2-       

5:30 a.m.  Wake up call.

6:00 a.m.  Bird-watching/Nature Walk.

7:30 a.m.  Breakfast.

9:30 a.m.  Boat Ride to watch crocodiles and river birds.

1:00 p.m.  Lunch.

3:00 p.m.  Elephant Bathing.

6:30 p.m.  Slide Show-- History of Chitwan and wildlife pictures.

7:00 p.m.  Dinner.

8:00 p.m.  Cultural Program-- Tharu native dances.

Day 3-

5:30 a.m.  Wake up call.

6:00 a.m.  Early morning Elephant Safari.

7:30 a.m.  Breakfast.

9:00 a.m.  Departure transfer.
